it’s not too late to try something different.

for the majority of my life (well, it’s all of my life minus the last month with vigour!!), i’ve always released something to the world only when it’s complete, finished, polished and perfect.  well, perfect is a subjective term isn’t it.  but i’m trying something different.  i’m not committing to it yet, but so far, the results speak for itself.

what am i doing differently?  well, i’m trying on what it would be like to not be a perfectionist.  to do things and show it even when it’s not to my normal high standards.   i’m choosing to dive in and try it out.

and you know what, if i don’t like the outcome, i can always go back to the old way of doing things.

things i’ve noticed so far in this experiment . . .

+ i’m releasing a lot more “things”, like this blog.  and my podcast (sooo exciting!!) and there’s something to be said for keeping the momentum going once you start going.  it’s far easier to keep something moving, than it is to start something from stationery.

+ i’m saying yes to non-life threathening things without thinking too far about how it’s going to work, and then figuring it out along the way.

+ i’m looking at life more “openly”

+ i’m worrying less about what others think about me, and probably living life more lightheartedly

it’s still work in progress, but isn’t that what life is like?

when’s the last time you tried something different? 😛  go on… dive in, what’s the worse that could happen?
